
Built in the 1870's, the grade 2 listed Waterloo Hotel, former docks pub (and brothel), makes a welcome change from the usual plain chain hotels. Newport (Welsh: Casnewydd) is the third-largest city in Wales (after Cardiff and Swansea). Standing on the banks of the River Usk, it is the cultural capital and largest urban area of the traditionalcounty of Monmouthshire and governed by the unitary Newport City Council. The population of the Newport urban area is in excess of 160,000 inhabitants est.

The Victoria Hotel has been operational for four years now and we have had just short of 6,000 guests stay with us. We have a great location in Newport, just eight minutes on foot will see you in theCity centre. From there, there are regualr train and bus services to Cardiff, Barry, Bristol and other tourist/working destinations. There is plenty to do in the area and we will be adding a "What's On" and "Where To Visit" section shortly to The Victoria Hotel website.

The Old Barn Inn dates back to the early 1750's and has its own delightful rustic heritage and charm. Located within a few miles of the famous 'Celtic Manor Resort', home of the 2010 Ryder Cup, it's aperfect base for our guests to share in the local history; giving you the opportunity to create your own memories of South Wales.

The Bull Inn, at that time, used to be the monks' kitchen. When the monks moved on, the Priory later became a Nunnery, private residence and since 1996, this beautiful building and its secludedgrounds have been home to the Priory Hotel and Restaurant.

We are an established hotel offering a warm welcoming atmosphere. The current owners Mark and Jayne Chapman took over in February 2013, after Mark managed the business for the previous owners for 26years. The hotel has an excellent reputation for good cuisine and quality accommodation. Situated in a semi rural location, with outstanding views. We have a childrens play area with patio and beer garden. There is ample free parking on site, including space for larger vehicles.
