The Carlton Hotel and Restaurant is situated in the main thoroughfare at Peel Place, High Street, Montrose. Considering the hotel dates back to the late 1700's, it is in excellent condition throughoutand many of the original features still remain in situ. The hotel has been under new management since November 2007 by the well known locals Graeme and Natalie Lamb. It has eight en-suite bedrooms and two restaurants, which also incorporates a lounge bar.
We have 15 rooms available for all guests, as well as a games room and traditional bar. All of our rooms are en-suite and are very reasonably priced. We are based right in the heart of Montrose withina short walking distance to all local amenities. All of our staff are welcoming and friendly. If you have any questions on the local area or the history of the building they will be more than happy to help you out.

The hotel is an excellent base for exploring the AngusGlens and all they have to offer. Castles, including Glamis and Dunnotar, are a little over half an hour away and for golfers the Montrose Links, the fifth oldest golf course in the world, is a leisurely five minute stroll.
