The original inn was, apparently, built into the walls of the C12th Orford Castle but is now separated from it by a little lane. Co-owned by Ruth Watson, David Watson and Tim Sunderland, the Crown andCastle has 21 bedrooms and a lively bistro, the Trinity, which serves decent, unpretentious food. Although we are officially classed as a hotel, we tend to think of ourselves more as a restaurant with rooms, our public space being very limited.
Whilst beer and pubs remain at the heart of our business, we also own and run hotels, make our own hand-crafted spirits and operate nearly a dozen Adnams Cellar & Kitchen Stores as well as an onlinestore. Our company values are rooted in making great products without costing the earth.
