We are located in the small coastal town of Millom, overlooked by the beautiful Black Combe fells on the Lake Districts most Southern Peninsular. The hotel is ideally based from which to explore theCentral Lakes and the rugged beauty of the Western Coast of Cumbria. Small hamlets such as Haverigg and Silecroft give access to miles of unspoilt golden beaches and its all within a few minutes drive from the hotel.
We have 22 rooms in total, including our ten new Superior King Sized Double Rooms, including a ground floor disabled access room. We have 2 Superior and 2 Standard Twin Rooms and a Family Room thatcan sleep up to 4 plus a travel cot, and a Single Room. All of our rooms are en suite, with walk in shower rooms or bath and shower - please ask at point of booking if you have a preference.

Newby Bridge Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in the Lake District and is overlooking Lake Windermere with picturesque landscaped grounds and parking for 60 cars. The Hotel was originally known asNewby Bridge Mansion. It was built in 1793 by James Machel and was one of the first great houses to be built on the shores of Lake Windermere. Hampsfell House was built around 1800 for a Lancashire mill Owner and has had a variety of names during the last 206 years. It's name changed from sandyfield house to Hampsfell House in 1986, butprevious to that it was named Handyfield House. Hampsfell became a hotel in grange over sands just after the second world war, and has since become a very popular place to visit by both residential guests and diners alike.
