Newby Bridge Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in the Lake District and is overlooking Lake Windermere with picturesque landscaped grounds and parking for 60 cars. The Hotel was originally known asNewby Bridge Mansion. It was built in 1793 by James Machel and was one of the first great houses to be built on the shores of Lake Windermere. The Station Hotel is a family-run business in Penrith, Cumbria, located 5 minutes from J40 on the M6 and a couple of minutes walk from Penrith train station and the town centre. We also completelyrefurbished the entire ground floor area in the autumn of 2007 creating a separate lounge area whilst managing to retain the existing pool table & big screen area. We can also provide a private meeting room available for hire that will hold approximately 20 delegates.

Hampsfell House was built around 1800 for a Lancashire mill Owner and has had a variety of names during the last 206 years. It's name changed from sandyfield house to Hampsfell House in 1986, butprevious to that it was named Handyfield House. Hampsfell became a hotel in grange over sands just after the second world war, and has since become a very popular place to visit by both residential guests and diners alike.
