About the Business
The Stags Head Hotel is situated in Bowness on Windermere, the most popular destination for visitors to the beautiful English Lake District. The Stags Head is situated behind St Martin's Church, the parish Church of Bowness. The area behind the church is the oldest part of Bowness, a delightful web of narrow streets known as Lowside, which gives an idea of what the village was like before the arrival of the railway.
The hotel is ideally situated; a stone's throw away from Lake Windermere and a two minute walk from Bowness' varied shops and wide range of excellent restaurants. A large municipal car park is a couple of minutes' walk from the hotel.
The comfortable bedrooms are all en-suite, with colour television, hair dryers, and tea and coffee making facilities. The 21 rooms are centrally heated and comprise twin, double and family rooms.
