About the Business

This building is steeped in history, having been built as a private house and maltings in the early 18th century, when Baldock was a favourite watering place on the main Great North Road from London to York. Subsequent owners included the Ind family, founders of the Ind Coope brewery company. Templars Hotel and Carvery is located in the heart of one of Hertfordshires oldest Towns, with the tourist sites of London and Cambridge all within easy reach. We are in the centre of the High Street with Free on street parking. There are restrictions between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday maximum 2 hours stay. Restrictions finish at 1.00 pm on Saturdays with no restrictions on Sundays. There are bus stop and Taxi facilities outside our door and the train station is a five minute walk. Easy road and rail access to London 35 miles, Cambridge 22 miles, Luton airport 15 miles and Stanstead 26 miles. We serve our restaurant menu lunchtime and evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
