About the Business
Our privately owned Coaching Hotel, located on the outskirts of Newbury, has continued to offer bed & breakfast and a warm welcoming bar & restaurant for over 250 years. Since 2005 the inn has been family owned and run by Jonathan & Jean Nelsey. During this time substantial investment has transformed "The Hare" into a modern hotel, restaurant & bar, whilst retaining its unique olde world charm. Our modern quality accommodation of 30 en suite bedrooms is found both in the main Inn and around our gardens, and extensive free car park. Our restaurant and bar retain the charm of our inn, and will be joined in early 2015 by "The Barn", our purpose built restaurant and wedding venue. Visiting Newbury, Hungerford, or West Berkshire, for business or leisure, you will be hard pressed to find a friendlier welcome.
