The present hotel building was built in 1859, and was known as The Robertson's Hotel. The hotel was renamed in 1911 as The National Hotel. The National Hotel is situated in Dingwall one of the smallest chartered burghs in Britan. Granted its burgh rights by Alexander in 1226. The Vikings had their court of justice here on Greenhill at the west of the town. less
